By road

Getting here

You drive in. It is a long day from the border, and worth it.

  1. 01Federal Highway 1 south to the junction at Parador Punta Prieta.
  2. 02Turn east onto Highway 12. About 68 km of pavement down to the bay.
  3. 03In town, keep going north along the beach.
  • Bring cash. Fill up before you leave Highway 1.
  • Cell service comes and goes. Tell someone your route.
